Sharna Does It Her Way

Sharna with the Chancellor of UNE Dr. Sarah Pearson on Graduation Day.

Sharna Kinleyside has graduated from the University of New England in Armidale, with a Bachelor of Pharmacy which she studied for by distance education over 12 years.

She is to be congratulated as she concurrently held down a position working in a pharmacy, whilst raising 3 small children.

The degree is normally 4 years full-time or 8 years part time with 2 residential schools per year.

Sharna originally studied a Bachelor of Bio-Medical Science in 2012 and 2013 before transferring to Pharmacy. Her units from the first degree year were able to be transferred. Sharna said, “I won’t miss the Chemistry”. She then deferred a year in 2020.

A Chemist these days is becoming an even more demanding and responsible position with lots more problem-solving aspects to it.

“I love my work and I have begun my Intern year at Young’s Bush Chemist where I have worked for a number of years.” she said.

Sharna would like to thank her family, friends and supporters and her employers at the Bush Chemist for their continued assistance.

Sharna, you should be very proud of your achievements. We are sure your family is very proud of you, as are the residents of the Twin Towns who watched you grow up.
