2 Arrests Made At Wombat – Break and Enter

Overnight on Friday the 22 December, 2017, a rural property at Wombat was broken into.  The thieves gained access to a gun safe and stole two rifles, as well as ammunition, two motorcycles and a ride on lawn mower.

As a result of the investigation, Police from Young have recovered all the property, as well as an additional firearm not connected with the theft.

Police have arrested a 32 year old man and a 26 year old man, both from Young.  The 32 year old man has been charged with Aggravated Break, Enter and Steal, Possessing Goods suspected of being stolen and various firearms offences.  Bail has been refused.

The 26 year old man has been charged with Aggravated Break, Enter and Steal, and has been granted conditional bail to appear at Young Local Court on the 23rd January, 2018
