(Media Release)

Residents supplied from the trunk main from Beggan Settlement Road to Burley Griffin Way Harden are being advised there will be reduced water supply to a number of properties next week while essential water supply system works are completed in the area.

Goldenfields Water will be repairing a major water main at Goldenfields Water Beggan Settlement Road Pump station on Monday night 30 October 2017.

Unfortunately, as part of these works the water supply pressure will be reduced to between 8pm–8am. The reduction in water supply pressure may range from lower pressure to no water, depending on locality of the premise.

A letterbox drop is being carried out to notify affected residents.

Residents are being asked to store sufficient water for their needs as well as keep all taps closed and refrain from flushing toilets during the outage period.

Some residents might experience temporary discoloured water issues when the water supply is restored.

Residents are encouraged to check their water quality from the tap nearest to the water meter prior to use.

If discoloured water is detected, residents should run the tap until the water clears. If the water doesn’t clear, residents need to notify Goldenfields Water or Hilltops Shire Council immediately.

For further information about these works please contact Goldenfields Water on 6977 3200 (Monday to Friday during office hours, 9am–4.30pm) or 1800 800 917 (outside office hours) or Hilltops Council on 6386 0100 (Monday to Friday during office hours, 8:30am– 5pm) or 6386 0160 (outside office hours).

Goldenfields Water and Hilltops Council apologises for any inconvenience and thank all affected residents for their patience and cooperation whilst this essential work is completed.
