The Harden Hawks Youth League side will take on the Bungendore Tigers under lights at McLean Oval tonight.

The Young Hawks remain undefeated and continue to play an exciting brand of Rugby League.

The round 17 match will see the end of the regular competition with the Hawks aiming to claim the Premiership in September.

It will be up to the First Grade side to determine if the club will host further Semis or Grand Finals.

The place of the first grade side on the ladder has a bearing on where both the Hawkettes and the Youth League side will play come finals.

If you want to cheer on the young men from our town and surrounding areas, make sure you get to McLean Oval for the 7:30pm kick-off.

From The Weekend and heading into the Weekend.

The Harden Hawks will take on old foes the Binalong Brahmans in Saturday’s final round of the George Tooke Shield competition, at the Binalong Rec Ground. Boomanulla are known for playing an ad-lib style of Rugby League and crossed the white line 3 times converting twice. Harden shared the tries between them with Centre Johnathon Pouono claiming a treble. Pouono is all class in the Centres and mixes strong defence with evasive running.

The Hawkettes also had their scoreline blow out when they downed the Boomanulla Raiderettes 54-4 . Try scorers included Emma James 3, Georgia Smith 3, Emilie Quinn 1, Molly Fredericks 1, and Clare Smith 1. Emma James kicked a magnificent 9 conversions not missing a shot all game.

The Harden Hawks Youth League side scraped home in their most difficult assignment so far in 2017, when they defeated Crookwell 28-26. Will Stanley starred for the Hawks with 3 tries and was backed up by Mark Veness and Ben Davis who each crossed for a try. Ryan Daley kicked 3 goals, whilst Sam Davis chipped in with a goal.
