Nick Stephens, Will Stanley and Patrick Smith have all starred for the Hawks in 2017. Stephens and Stanley in the Halves and Smith anywhere in the forward pack, but predominantly at Hooker. All three lads were the Highest Try Scorers in the 2017 Youth League competition. Nick Stephens was also awarded Best and Fairest player in the competition. Stephens has been dynamic for Harden and has also made the step up to First Grade.

The Harden Hawks Youth League side are the 2017 George Tooke Minor Premiers.

This will mean little to their Crookwell opposition today, when the two sides clash at 12:00pm

The writer has played plenty of matches at Crookwell and has seen sunshine turn to sleet in an instant at the Memorial Ground.

The Crookwell lads will be out to claim their spot in this year’s George Tooke Grand Final.

Crookwell finished in second spot with 7 wins from 12 matches, however, they will be buoyed by the home crowd and the fact the local Rugby side the Crookwell Dogs claimed the Monaro Second Divisoin Premiership in a massive 62-12 flogging of their neighbours Taralga yesterday.

The Young Hawks can expect a vocal crowd for the 12:00pm kick off.

The Hawks can score points and have the top 3 leading try scorers in this year’s competition. They will need to come out firing and not only score points but defend their line with vigour.

Good Luck to our youngest Hawks. The club and the town are behind you.

Go Hawks. Hawks Hawks Hawks!!!
