Jamal and Susan Nwesser have returned to Harden and are here to stay. The couple have been living in Sydney and working in the state’s capital for the past 8 years.

Jamal worked as a senior inventory supervisor for Inchcape Australia looking after the inventory for Subaru, BMW, VW, Skoda and several other brands within the group whilst Susan worked as a qualified Optician. She is now studying a Bachelor in Construction Management (Honours).

This time last year they travelled to Europe and were able to do some renovations to their house in Malta.

The Nwesser family first arrived in Murrumburrah nearly 30 years ago in 1988. After opening their pizza shop in Murrmburrah, they went on to open a Pizza restaurant in Yass.

Jamal refurbished the Murrumburrah shop in the early 2000’s. During that time, the family established an excellent reputation for great quality and tasty food.

Jamal said the fast pace of Sydney was good, but coming back home was a relaxing change. ‘It’s always been my home. I was always coming back to my shop, but it was only a matter of when. My wife and I are delighted to be here.’

The public have been very welcoming to Jamal and Susan, who have been married for nearly 3 years. Jamal said “The ladies have been giving me kisses on the cheek and lots of people have been coming in to say Hi and welcome us back. Jamal and Susan are entering a new phase in their life, and are here to stay.”

“We will be renovating the shop in stages so we don’t interrupt trading which is currently from Wednesday – Sundays. We are happy to see previous businesses around the town are still here and it’s very pleasing to see new businesses have opened and flourished within the area.”

Jamal said For businesses like ours natural gas in the community is a must. This will also help big businesses that are here and also encourage more companies that may expand their services in the Harden area.”

Since reopening they have added some new specials. “We have Beef ribs for $8.50 and Beef rib combos $13.00, Chicken wings $2.50 or 3 for $7.00 and the combo is $11.00. We are now starting mouth-watering Pork Ribs in either half or Full racks. Chicken Ribs are available but will only be at the shop for a limited time only.

We also have added in pasta, Spaghetti and penne both served with Bolognese sauce. We look to also update the pizza menu, adding a gourmet range in the future. It’s time to change and we want to offer some new options for our customers.’ Hamburgers, steak sandwiches and chicken burgers are still available until 4pm only.

We are looking into starting pizzas at lunch time on Sunday’s in the near future.” Jamal and Susan live on site; however, they have plans to buy a home in Harden in the future. ‘We want to thank everyone for their support and well-wishes thus far.’

Welcome back to the community Jamal and Susan.
