Harden Murrumburrah Uniting Church celebrated 40 years as a combined church recently with a service conducted by Rev Neville Cave. A large crowd gathered in the Hall afterwards to enjoy morning tea where a cake made by Aileen Alcorn and decorated by Phyllis Summerfield was cut to mark the occasion.

In 1977, three Australian churches came together as one. The Presbyterian, Methodist and Congregational churches have been the Uniting Church in Australia ever since. The tagline, “All of this is us”, encompasses past, present and future – all that brought us together and formed us as we began, all that has shaped us has involved us over the past 40 years, and all that we hope for as we look to the future.
