The Harden Shire Chamber of Commerce has embarked on an aggressive advertising campaign designed to bring more businesses, families and tourists to our shire. ‘

The first phase is designed for tourism and it’s centrepiece is a 48 foot pantech semi-trailer travelling the main highways on the east coast of Australia, emblazened with images of Historic Harden together with a website address.

“Although it is only 3 days old, we have already had responses to this advertising” said Hilton Doberer, Chairman of the Harden Chamber of Commerce. Our thanks go out to Madden’s Refrigerated Transport for the donation of the blank canvas, and Tony Madden for bringing this idea to the Chamber.”

“The second phase of the marketing plan will be to promote the area as a ‘Legitimate Treechange Destination,'” said Stephen Byrne, Vice Chairman of the Harden Chamber of Commerce. “We are now in the position to offer Business High Speed Internet, low rents on commercial real estate, affordable land and housing and a lovely country lifestyle along with our abundant infrastructure already in place.”

This strategy came about through consultation with the local community, who requested positive action from the Chamber to help Harden Shire’s invigoration. Certainly the Streetscape upgrade has been a great start to revitalise our town. Our new broadband is rolling out as we speak, so our town is really ‘Open for Business’ Mr Doberer said.

With more mobile billboards on the way and a host of strategic alliances, the Chamber believes it can deliver a strong campaign that doesn’t waste money, time and effort. In short, the Chamber’s task is to bring more people to know about our Shire and improve the economic position of all business being conducted in the shire.
