New Face at Light Horse Hotel Jason Bradshaw (current chef) and successful lessee of the Light Horse Hotel kitchen, Debbie Astill, have been going through menus and procedures to make Debbie’s transition into her new business venture trouble-free.

Debbie has been very excited about branching out on her own and establishing her own business identity. She has been keen to pick up on any pointers Jason could pass on through his expertise in this field.

Jason, with his knowledge of the kitchen and its workings, has been of great assistance to the hotel these past 3 months. Jason came to the Light Horse through one of Bob Manwaring’s horse trainers in Melbourne, and the Hotel’s management has been very grateful for what he has done.

As Debbie already has a good name in the town for her cooking, she will slot in well at the Light Horse. The Light Horse management is extremely happy they could find someone local to lease the kitchen.

Bob said, “In a small community like ours, it is very important to keep money in the community.” Debbie will continue to do evening takeaways Monday to Thursday, and Monday to Friday at lunch-time.
