The Binalong Brahmans have returned to training for the 2014 season with premiership winning Captain/Coach Chris Rawlinson directing the side around again this year. Rawlinson scored 7 tries in the playmaking role last season and booted 102 goals for the side.

The Binalong side possessed a flamboyant attack directed from the halves by Rawlinson. However it was the rigidly-structured defence that frustrated opposition sides out of the match and made them throw 50/50 passes in an attempt to break the defence.

Binalong conceded only 48 points over the 18 game season which is an average of 2.6 per game. This statistic is unheard of.

The Brahmans have secured the majority of the same playing roster they utilised in 2013. Veterans Jason Howard and David Field have retired from the squad.

The early indication based on the statistics are that a variety of different game plans will be needed by opposition sides if they are to stand a chance of getting anywhere near the Brahmans in 2014.

Binalong Brahmans RLFC sign-on night is this Friday 21 Feb 6pm at the Binalong Rec Oval. All welcome. More info: contact President Michael Brayshaw 0437 688 803.
